An electrical issue caused some guests to be stranded on Blackcomb Gondola for over two hours, though no injuries were reported. 

The avalanche risk remains high, and Whistler Blackcomb senior manager of patrol Adam Mercer tells guests to expect some terrain closures.

A local dog has become something of a celebrity after a video of it blaring a truck horn went online.

Noise generated from ongoing work at Woodfibre LNG is impacting residents of nearby Britannia Beach, according to local area director Tony Rainbow.
