Chalk up another W for the Axes and Oars.

Taking the pitch at Brockton Oval last Saturday, the Squamish-based ladies' rugby team rolled to an emphatic 39-10 victory over the visiting Kelowna Crows. It was an impressive all-around effort for a program that continues to ascend after knocking down its first-ever triumph last November in Chilliwack.

"Thanks to Kelowna for making the trip, and a big thank you our partner club [Vancouver Rowers] and their wonderful coach Chris!" said a club spokesperson on social media.

Meanwhile, the men's Division 2 roster authored an even more dominant performance. With club founder Al Mac becoming the first player to notch his 100th game wearing blue and green, the Axemen blew out Simon Fraser University by a score of 67-0.

The Axemen head out on the road again on March 2 before beginning a series of home games on March 9.
