Richman wins third term as Pemberton mayor

Craddock and Helmer re-elected; newcomers Nightingale and Ramsden round out council

Pemberton Mayor Mike Richman has been re-elected.

Mike Richman will serve a third term as Village of Pemberton mayor.

He earned top spot in the Oct. 15 municipal election with 543 votes, beating David MacKenzie (303 votes) and Chadi Abouhalka (34). 

Council, meanwhile, will have at least one familiar face with incumbent Ted Craddock winning 567 votes for re-election. Jennie Helmer, a two-term councillor who most recently served from 2014 to 2018, was also elected with 748 votes. 

New faces include Katrina Nightingale (587 votes) and Laura Ramsden (559 votes).

A total of 880 residents cast ballots out of an estimated 2,400 eligible voters.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Barley was re-elected for a fifth term as school trustee with School District No. 48 in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area C.
