B.C. man denied bail on multiple gun, drug charges

A Prince George man has been denied bail on multiple firearm and drug trafficking allegations.

Julien Naseem Lazarre, 27, appeared for a bail hearing before Vancouver Provincial Court Judge Jennifer Oulton May 27.

He is charged with:

• three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking;

• three counts of possessing a firearm without a licence or registration;

• two charges of having a loaded or unloaded restricted firearm with ammunition;

• two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order;

• careless use of storage of a firearm; and,

• possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.

The offences happened in Vancouver.

Presenting their positions on whether or not Lazarre should get bail were one federal and one provincial prosecutor and defence lawyer Tony Lagemaat.
