More than 30 vehicles damaged in Fernwood vandalism spree

Victoria police are investigating a vandalism spree that damaged 31 vehicles over several blocks in the Fernwood area.

The incidents in the early hours of last Saturday spanned the 1400 to 1600 blocks of Begbie Street, the 1100 to 1600 blocks of Pandora Avenue and the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Stanley Avenue.

A passerby called police after noticing 12 vehicles were badly damaged near the 1400-block of Begbie Street, close to Pandora Avenue. Most of the damage involved smashing the passenger-side mirrors off vehicles.

Investigators later determined a total of 31 damaged vehicles were part of the same incident.

Police said there is no description of a suspect and no leads on who may have caused the damage.
