WINNIPEG — Manitoba is reporting two new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total of confirmed and probable cases to 318.
The provincial government says the latest cases are a Winnipeg man who had travelled outside the province, and a Winnipeg woman who is a close contact of a previous case.
With Manitoba's numbers continuing to be lower than most other provinces, health officials are relaxing more travel restrictions.
The province is lifting a rule that only allowed people to travel to northern communities for reasons such as work, child custody arrangements and camping.
People who travel to Manitoba to work on film productions will no longer be required to self-isolate for 14 days before they arrive.
The government eased some other restrictions last Sunday by increasing the allowable size of public gatherings and ending occupancy limits at bars, restaurants and retail stores.
