WINNIPEG — Public health officials say international travellers and one transport driver were among the 18 new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba on the weekend.

The latest count also includes more infections in an outbreak on several Hutterite colonies.

Officials say investigations are ongoing and any additional information about public health risks will be provided.

The new numbers bring Manitoba's total COVID-19 cases to 354: 29 cases are active, 318 people have recovered and seven have died.

One of the travellers who tested positive was flying from the Philippines, through South Korea, into Vancouver and on to Winnipeg on July 7 and 8.

Passengers who were on those flights and in seats near the traveller are being asked to self-isolate for 14 days from the time of travel and to monitor for symptoms.

The flights involved were: Asiana Flight 0704 from Manila to Seoul on July 7, Air Canada Flight 0064 Seoul to Vancouver on July 8 (rows 26 to 32) and Air Canada Flight 0296 Vancouver to Winnipeg on July 8 (rows 21 to 27).
