The Sea to Sky Shorts Showcase is back courtesy of the Whistler Film Festival (WFF). It is an annual competition celebrating filmmakers who have an original story to tell, and who live in and are inspired by the corridor from Horseshoe Bay to Pemberton Valley.

The event puts creative freedom in the hands of participants, as submissions can have any theme and be live-action, animation, stop-motion, documentary, or any other format so long as they are between three and 10 minutes long.

Up to 10 finalists will have their work showcased on November 8 at Buffalo Bills in Whistler Village. The winner, selected by judges, will win $2000, while a second entrant could take home $500 if live viewers choose them for the Audience Award.

Submissions are due October 27. Find out more here.
