As part of an increased slate of programs for children and youth, the Audain Art Museum is launching Art Therapy classes.
From Aug. 11 onward, teenagers can try out weekly Monday afternoon sessions designed to foster emotional well-being through creative expression.
Leading the classes is Angela Walsh Noble, an art therapy teacher-in-training with more than two decades of experience. "Art has always been a way for people to process their feelings and experiences," she says in a press release. "For teens especially, it offers a powerful outlet for self-expression and building resilience."
Audain Art Therapy is backed by the April 1 Foundation and focuses on giving youth a safe space to explore emotions, build confidence, and connect with peers while experimenting with different art techniques.
Each class costs $15, with members receiving a 10 per cent discount. Scholarships are available by emailing [email protected].
