Do you have a big idea for a tiny canvas?

The submission deadline for Arts Whistler’s fifth annual Teeny Tiny Show is quickly approaching. Sea to Sky artists are invited to drop off their small creation (measuring no bigger than 7.62-cm by 7.62-cm on any material) at the Maury Young Arts Centre during opening hours by Wednesday, Aug. 17.

If you’re in the market for a teeny tiny canvas, you can purchase one at the Arts Centre for $3 a piece or two for $5.

And note: if your mini masterpiece is in 3D, it can’t exceed the 7.62-cm by 7.62-cm by 7.62-cm limit.

Those in need of a dose of inspiration can check out the 2021 Teeny Tiny show virtually at artswhistler.com/teeny-tiny-show-2021-virtual-tour.

Or, if in-person inspiration is more your thing, check out the Teeny Tiny Potluck Paint Night set for Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the arts centre.

While acrylic paint, brushes and palettes will be supplied, participants are encouraged to bring along creative art materials—like markers, pencils or pastels—to share, potluck-style.

Tickets are $15 at showpass.com/teeny-tiny-pot-luck-paint-night.

The actual Teeny Tiny art show, meanwhile, will be on display at The Gallery at the Arts Centre from Sept. 1 to Oct. 29 with an opening party on Sept. 16.
