From Oct. 3 to Oct. 24, the Pemberton Museum will be displaying a multimedia art showcase by long-time Spud Valley local Wim Tewinkel.

One part of the exhibit will feature acrylic, watercolour and encaustic paintings while another is to display books, movies and photographs created and published by the artist.

Tewinkel's large body of work includes paintings of the natural world in both realistic and abstract styles. He is also a martial artist and has been teaching karate in Pemberton for more than 35 years.

The official opening for the exhibit is on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m., including refreshments and a class led by Tewinkel on creating with encaustics (beeswax). Attendees are charged a nominal $5 fee.
