XFONDO

XFONDO is not an exclusive gravel cycling event, rather it's an adventure on all the terrain a bike can take you. It's a visceral experience, real and perceived with your new event buddies, sharing an experience that will be a full on challenge for all your skills. From winding gravel switchbacks to flowing descents framed by unreal mountain scenery (and a ton of mud just waiting to be sprayed), Whistler serves it up. The courses are 42 - 60K with an elevation of 1000 - 1300 metres.

Back Forty 

Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA) is proud to present The Back Forty, a mass-start mountain bike race inspired by the legendary NIMBY 50's legacy of good times and wicked riding in Whistler. Registration is $99 and includes a bottle, race plate, dinner, beers, and the chance to win awesome prizes from the sponsors. All proceeds from the Back Forty go towards new trail construction in Whistler and mountain bike programming for the Líl’wat Ka-xléq-a (Líl’wat Rolling) Indigenous Youth Mountain Bike Program.

Presence Through Play with Nourish

A 90-minute wellness workshop that uses the proven tools of improv and group play to lower stress, boost mood, and connect with others. Set on the shores of Alta Lake with Whistler and Blackcomb mountains behind you, rediscover the power of presence, laughter, and spontaneous fun while simultaneously shaking off all those nasty little things that bog you down! Choose from multiple timeslots throughout the day.

The Point Artist-Run Centre

Gathered Leaves 

This landmark exhibition features rarely seen drawings from the National Gallery of Canada’s renowned Prints and Drawings collection. Established in 1921 as the first of its kind in Canada, it spans the 15th to 20th centuries and highlights masterpieces by Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt, Edvard Munch, Marc Chagall, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, alongside newly acquired and never-before-displayed works.

Whistler Farmers' Market

A feast for your senses, the Whistler Farmers' Market features local produce, tasty food, local artisans, live entertainment and family activities. Markets happen every Sunday until Thanksgiving on October 13, with the addition of Saturday markets on June 28, August 2, August 30 and October 11.

Upper Village Stroll

Hike for Health Fundraiser

This annual fundraiser is supported by the Touchet Family and Whistler Blackcomb, and takes place on the scenic Ascent Trail on Blackcomb Mountain. It's a meaningful way to honour those affected by health challenges or to express gratitude for our dedicated healthcare workers. This year, funds raised support the Whistler Health Care Centre.

Shamanic Yoga in the Park

Presented by Tina Pashumati from Loka Yoga and Crystal Bowls with Julie, this vinyasa series is made up of four classes based on the elements. Each class features an animal meditation and a crystal bowl savasana nestled within the forest with the soothing sounds of nature and the river running by.

Put your skills to the test on Wednesday evenings with this ever-popular downhill race series complete with an awesome après at the Garibaldi Lift Company and tons of prizing from Bike Park sponsors. Individual race entries must be purchased online in advance, and will be limited.

Wild Vedas: Morning Yoga 

Join Wild Vedas every Wednesday morning throughout the summer for an all levels yoga practice that cultivates mindful awareness and physical readiness, and gets you prepped to tackle whatever the mountains have in store. Dress for the outdoors and remember to bring your own mat.

Medicine Bag Workshop

Use buckskin, beads and hide lacing to craft a handmade medicine bag! Traditionally, medicine bags were used to hold medicinal herbs or treasures that provide protection for the wearer who may be on a spirit quest, hunting and gathering, journeying to neighbouring community, or everyday protection and reminders.

WORCA Toonie Ride

Come for the ride, stay for the après. The Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA)  Toonie Rides are a great place to mix and mingle with our vibrant mountain biking community. Ride hard for the challenge or ride with friends for the fun of it. When the ride is over, meet up at après to share tall tales with friends old and new. However you ride, it’s guaranteed to be a good time.

Yoga at the Audain

Revel in the stunning architecture of the Audain Art Museum every Thursday as you work through a calming one-hour practice with rotating instructors. Classes emphasize breathing, alignment and ease as you stretch and strengthen your body and mind. Registration includes access to the galleries on the day of from 11 AM to 6 PM.
