COVID-19 vaccination registration has opened up to latest age groups in the Sea to Sky, confirmed Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in an April 8 bulletin.

As of today, seniors aged 65 and up, people of Indigenous descent aged 18 and up, and those considered clinically extremely vulnerable and who have received invitation letters (which VCH says should arrive by April 15) are invited to register to get a vaccine. Once the registration is complete you will be contacted to book a vaccine appointment when you are eligible based on your age and B.C.'s immunization plan phases.

Notably, a call earlier this week to B.C. government’s COVID-19 line indicated that in Whistler, limited supplies mean appointments cannot be booked until next week, with the agent advising to call back on Monday, April 12 or seek an appointment in the nearest available community.

Register online with your personal health number at getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca. If you are unable to register online or do not have a personal health number, registration can be done by phone at 1-833-838-2323. The call centre is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Individuals can also register in-person at a Service BC office.

For more information, visit vch.ca/vaccine.
