Cows ice cream wants to moove the dial on mental health in Whistler by donating 100 per cent of ice cream proceeds to Whistler Community Services today.

All Cows locations across Canada are giving 100 per cent of ice cream sales to local organizations that support mental health today, March 7.

The call to action takes on a typical bovine sound, with the event called “Moo, Let’s Talk.”

In Whistler, proceeds go to the Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS). WCSS aims to raise $9,000 for outreach services.

Cows is located at 4314 Main St Unit 1, in Town Plaza.

Last year, outreach services had 10,000 interactions with community members, assisting them in a range of needs, with mental health and financial security being the most cited reason for service use.

Other Cows locations’ moo-ney goes to PEI’s Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), CMHA Nova Scotia, Niagara on the Lake’s CMHA branch and Banff’s YWCA.
