The Victoria Day long weekend is coming up fast, but fortunately it won't be hard to get around town without a car.
BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) have announced that public transit will be free between May 17 and May 19.
This complimentary service is part of the free summer weekend program, which is funded by parking fees from Day Lots 1 to 5. Transit service will cost nothing on all weekends and statutory holidays starting June 21 and continuing until Sept. 1.
Buses will be running on a regular weekday timetable on holiday Monday, with details available on the BC Transit Rider's Guide.
Customers are encouraged to use Umo, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and trip planning. For more information, click here.
