The RMOW is broadcasting highlights from the Games in Whistler Olympic Plaza daily

Grab a blanket and make your way down to Whistler Olympic Plaza to cheer on Canadian athletes as they go for gold in Tokyo this summer.

Whistler is embracing its Olympic roots as Canadian athletes once again compete for gold at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, currently underway in Tokyo, Japan.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler is broadcasting highlights from the Games on the big screen in Whistler Olympic Plaza every day until the Olympic Cauldron is extinguished for another cycle.

Since Tokyo is 16 hours ahead of B.C., the broadcast will be comprised of highlights and replays included in CBC's Olympic coverage, rather than live events. The Games officially kicked off today, July 23, and will run until Aug. 8.

The Games will be broadcast with sound on at Whistler Olympic Plaza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., though that schedule is subject to change. (Stay tuned to whistler.ca/events for any changes to daily scheduling.)
