BCRCMPPolice

One man chose to incorporate some Christmas Day self punishment after he boarded the wrong bus in Whistler.

According to RCMP, the man "punched himself in the face and bled on the fare box when he realized he got on the wrong bus."

The man then "got off the bus and departed on foot," police said in a release. "He did nothing physical towards bus staff, but the fare box required decontamination." Police continue to investigate.

It was one of 111 files opened by local police from Dec. 20 to 26.
