Whistler residents and visitors to the resort can expect traffic delays on Lorimer Road for the next few days due to a paving project taking place.
The eastbound lanes from Northlands Boulevard to the entrance of Day Lot 4 are being replaced, with traffic being redirected onto the westbound lanes.
Blackcomb Way as well as the Lorimer Road access to Whistler’s Marketplace will be closed during the day. However, access to the Whistler Health Care Centre will be maintained for “accessible and emergency drop-offs throughout the project,” according to an advisory on the municipality’s website.
The paving project is scheduled to be completed on Monday, June 20.
