Photos: Fans cheer on Canucks at Burnaby's Rosemary Brown Arena

Burnaby's newest ice rink hosted a free, family friendly viewing party Friday for game 5 of Vancouver's first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series Tuesday. Since the Canucks failed to clinch the series, Rosemary Brown Arena will host another Friday.

About 160 fans gathered at Burnaby's newest ice arena Tuesday to watch the Vancouver Canucks fall 2-1 to the Nashville Predators in Game 5 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.

The free event was the first of a series of City of Burnaby viewing parties at Rosemary Brown Arena.

Big screens and speakers were set up in three different areas on the second floor, and the concession even offered a Canucks special – a hot dog and drink for $10.

Since Vancouver failed to wrap up the series, which the Canucks lead 3-2, Rosemary Brown will host another family friendly viewing party Friday.

Check the arena's webpage to find out more information, including start time.
