Photos: Interact Pemberton hosts breakfast fundraiser for food bank

Students prepared and served pancakes and burritos to around 80 customers.

On May 20, secondary students with Interact Pemberton held a breakfast fundraiser for the Village's Food Bank. Students prepared pancake and burrito breakfasts for residents who stopped by Town Square Restaurant and donated to the cause.

“With the Food Bank, they can always use more money,” Interact co-president Sophie Hancock previously told Pique. “It’s such a high-demand thing. Last year, when we did the fundraiser, it worked out really well and we got a lot of people and raised a lot of money, so we were excited to do it again this year.”

Thanks to around 80 attendees, Interact Pemberton raised just shy of $1,600 for the Food Bank.
