Photos: Remembrance Day service at Whistler Olympic Plaza

Hundreds braved the cold to pay their respects

Hundreds were in attendance for Whistler's annual Service of Remembrance on Nov. 11, held at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

The Whistler Singers and Whistler Children’s Chorus opened the proceedings with songs of remembrance, before a veterans parade and Colour Party made its way from Ted Nebbeling Bridge down the Village Stroll to the cenotaph in Olympic Plaza.

The service also included the traditional two minutes of silence, renditions of O Canada and “God Save the King,” the Last Post and the Rouse, a helicopter fly-by courtesy of Blackcomb Helicopters, a cannon firing, and a presentation of wreaths.
