Star gazers in Pemberton and Whistler got a treat on Sunday night when the Northern Lights danced in the late summer sky. The Perseid meteor shower was also visible for a while making things all the more special.
The Northern Lights display was the most vivid since May's historic solar storms. The Perseid meteors are active every year from July to September, but activity reaches its peak in mid August. The Perseids are considered to be the best meteor shower of the year by astronomers.
