Poll: Here's the price most renters would willingly pay to call a one-bedroom in Whistler home

$1500 was the most popular option for both locals and out-of-towners

After a particularly pricey one-bedroom unit in Creekside recently caught our attention, Pique thought we'd check in with readers to find out what most people would consider to be a reasonable monthly rate to pay for the privilege of renting a modest apartment in Whistler.

Pique Newsmagazine polled 466 Pique readers and asked the question: What's the maximum monthly rate you'd willingly pay to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Whistler?

The poll ran from Sept. 5 to Sept. 14. Of the 466 votes, we can determine that 63 are from within the community. The vast majority of respondents from outside of the community voted from North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Squamish and Toronto.

Results are based on an online study of adult Pique Newsmagazine readers that are located in Whistler. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 4.45%, 19 times out of 20.
