A snowfall warning is in effect for Whistler and the Sea to Sky, with up to 20 centimetres expected in the corridor before Friday.
According to Environment Canada, the warning applies to Whistler and the Sea to Sky Highway, and drivers should prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
"A frontal system crossing the south coast will bring heavy snow to Whistler and the Sea to Sky corridor tonight and into midday Friday," the warning reads. "Mixed rain and snow is forecast to changeover to snow later in the evening. Total snowfall accumulation of up to 15 cm is possible for Whistler and up to 20 cm for the Sea to Sky corridor."
A travel advisory is also in effect for Highway 99, according to DriveBC.
"Slow down and drive to winter conditions. Expect delays," the advisory reads. "Visibility may be reduced at certain times."
