After nearly 600 shows, writer John McGie is ready to bring his signature Chair Series monologues to Pemberton. The series will make its Village debut on May 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pemberton Museum's Soo Building.

"Join us on Saturday, May 24th, for The Chair Series Theatre performance, a one-of-a-kind monologue event that will move, inspire and surprise you," writes the Museum on Instagram. "Set among the stories of our past, this evening at the Pemberton Museum promises to be something you've never experienced before."

As the title suggests, this theatre production uses just one prop: a single chair. Playwright John McGie crafts unique monologues that play to each of his actors' strengths. While each piece can stand on its own, the segments are also designed to interconnect, creating a unified and engaging performance. Actors have prepared 14 monologues for the Pemberton show.

Tickets will be $14 at the door, cash only. The venue will open at 7 p.m.
