A Whistler black bear (not the bear pictured) entered a Creekside home through an open window this week, according to the Conservation Officer Service and Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Whistler residents are being reminded to keep ground-level windows and doors secured lest they find themselves with an unwanted visitor.

According to an update from the Whistler Conservation Officer Service (COS) shared with Pique by the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW), on Sunday, June 9 at about 3 p.m., a bear entered an unoccupied home in Creekside through an open window, where it reportedly found itself some tasty food rewards.

When the bear came back for seconds, a neighbour hazed it away, according to COS.

Pique will update this story as more info becomes available.
