The Whistler Housing Authority (WHA) is reassuring hundreds of locals on its rental and ownership waitlists after members reported receiving a message stating their applications had been cancelled.
In an email Tuesday, Nov. 26, the WHA said some waitlist members have received an automated email from [email protected] stating “your application status being cancelled.”
“Please ignore the email while we address things and we’re sorry for the confusion this is causing,” the WHA email went on. “For clarity, no waitlist applications have been cancelled today.”
In a follow-up email to Pique, WHA general manager Marla Zucht explained the automated message was triggered as part of a planned software update. WHA is working with its software provider, Arcori, to identify the root cause of the email. No personal information was breached, Zucht added.
