As predicted, grizzly bear sightings are ramping up in the Whistler Valley.
After a grizzly was reported roaming Whistler's Rainbow neighbourhood on May 11, COS confirmed this week a grizzly was seen at Nicklaus North Golf Course recently (though that bear reportedly moved on without incident).
And in a tweet on June 2, Whistler RCMP asked the public to stay away from Rainbow Park's historical cabins after a grizzly was spotted in the area.

Ben Chandler was in Rainbow Park when the bear wandered through at about 4:30 p.m., catching parkgoers by surprise. He was able to catch it on video before clearing the area.
The bear was also reportedly seen in several other locations on Friday night, according to various posts on social media. Residents should stay away and give the bear space until it moves on, keep pets inside, and secure all attractants.
