Two is company this year for the B.C. Ski Team, which has just two names on the women’s roster for the 2002-2003 season.

On Aug. 9 B.C. Alpine announced that 18-year-old Christina Lustenberger of Invermere and 16-year-old Danielle Poleschuk of Fernie would represent the province.

While the team is small, Nancy-Jo O’Neill – the new coach for the women’s team – is confident that it will perform well.

"I’m looking forward to working with these girls to raise the level of women’s skiing in B.C. It is an outstanding opportunity to develop this women’s team into a strong, dynamic and dominant force in the nation over the next few seasons."

The six member men’s provincial team was announced back in June, and includes Scott Anderson of Rossland, Robbie Dixon of North Vancouver, Dustin Fraser of Quathiaski Cove, Graham Kraft of Vernon, Manuel Osborne Paradis of North Vancouver and Marcus Waring of North Vancouver. Paradis and Dixon are both alumni from the Whistler Mountain Ski Club.
