The Whistler Hoary Marmots Rugby Football Club is playing its first 15-a-side union game in years this weekend, an exhibition match against the Vancouver Rowing Club Rowers R.F.C..
The Rowers are one of the more successful clubs in the competitive Vancouver League.
The game will take place at the Whistler Secondary field at 3 p.m. on Saturday, and spectators are invited to come out and cheer for the Marmots or the Rowers if you have something against any of the local players.
For their part, the Marmots have once again recruited a strong international side, drawing on the local and visiting talent last year they won for their division at two seven-a-side tournaments.
