The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation's annual TELUS Golf Classic is one of the Sea to Sky area's most popular tournament fundraisers.
Festivities kick off Friday, Sept. 6 with a traditional Texas Scramble. At 11 a.m., Blackcomb Helicopters will drop 500 pre-assigned golf balls (which are available for purchase) over the 18th green, with a Vail Resorts Epic Pass and a helicopter tour going to whoever's ball lands in or closest to the hole.
Rounds of golf will proceed from a simultaneous shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. and proceed until the after-party in Fairmont Chateau Whistler at 6 p.m.
Live and silent auctions are taking place, with the online version closing tomorrow at 9 p.m. Be sure also to check out the après dinner with prizes and live entertainment on tap.
