The Squamish Titans Athletic Club are looking for individuals and schools to participate in the 26 th running of the Squamish Fall Classic 5/10 km Road Run on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Both the 5 km and 10 km races are fast and flat, starting and finishing at Howe Sound Secondary School. The 10 km route heads north along Queens Way, through the Squamish Business Park, past Mamquam Elementary School, then returning to the school. The 5 km course heads north to the Queensway, loops around the B.C. Rail Station, and gets back on the Queensway heading south.
Individual racers get long sleeve T-shirts, post-race snacks and drinks, and the opportunity to win draw prizes. The school with the most participants will win a trophy sponsored by Sea To Sky Ocean Sports.
The race starts at 9 a.m., and the early bird entry fee is $18 for adults and $12 for students. There is also a family rate of $38 for two adults and one child, and another $10 for each additional child.
Proceeds go towards the Squamish Titans.
