Vancouver, Sapporo and Salt Lake City all seem to be ignoring an Inconvenient Truth with their bids to host the 2030 Winter Olympics. With runaway global warming now firmly established, they could be investing billions of dollars into outdoor snow events that are no longer viable eight years from now. I think Antarctica would be a much safer bet.
