I thoroughly, absolutely and totally agree with your recent article on the bloated budget that favours municipal employee compensation (Pique, Aug. 15, “The case for a Whistler DOGE”). It sickens me how our taxes and grants are misspent.
It appears that our emergency funds have seriously dwindled, probably due to being tapped for housing funding: an escape route for mismanaged funds.
The erosion in accountability is very disturbing as a local who has seen the development of our community since 1966.
Seriously concerned, but only able to observe.
