I’m writing as of June 25 on a very warm evening in the valley—my first summer visit to Whistler since 2004.
The exceptional weather and increasing energy returning to Whistler has made this week memorable as a visitor, but I find it very odd that throughout the village and valley I’ve not seen any recognition of, or even virtual plans for Pride (events) in Whistler.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is so top of mind these days and Pride festivities have been held in June globally for decades, it seems that Whistler has skipped over Pride in 2021?
Just my perception, as a visitor and former long-time local.
