Logging truck crash on Highway 99 Wednesday

Squamish RCMP say injuries 'do not appear serious'

Emergency crews are on the scene of an incident involving a logging truck and another vehicle on Highway 99 at the Conroy Forest Service Road.

Emergency crews are still arriving and some injuries have been reported, Squamish RCMP said in a Tweet.

Sgt. Sascha Banks told The Chief the injuries do not appear serious at this stage.

Logs have spilled onto the highway and the truck is on its side.

The crash happened at about noon on Wednesday.

Lanes are being closed as needed, so expect delays as clean up continues, and Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement teams do an inspection, RCMP said.
