Missing Vancouver man may be in Sea to Sky, says VPD

Darcy Wild’s last known location was near Alice Lake in Squamish

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a missing city man whose last known location is thought to be near Alice Lake in Squamish, according to a release.

Investigators say 49-year-old Darcy Wild left his home near East 33rd Ave. and Victoria Dr. last Thursday, Sept. 24, and may now be in the Sea to Sky. Wild is reportedly familiar with trails and roads throughout the corridor.

Police called the disappearance “out of character for Mr. Wild” and added that authorities and his family are concerned for his well-being.

Wild was driving a black 2015 Lexus RX350, licence plate JS3 50P, at the time of his disappearance. A white man with a slim build and 5-10 in height, Wild has short, greyish blonde hair and was last seen wearing a black zip-up rain jacket with a grey shirt underneath, blue jeans, black boots and a red face mask.

Anyone who spots Wild or his vehicle is asked to contact 9-1-1 and stay with him until first responders arrive.
