Three dead, two seriously injured in head-on collision in Pickering, Ont.

Police say three people were killed and two others seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision last night in Pickering, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a head-on collision involving two SUVs on Highway 7 at Concession Road 6 at approximately 7 p.m.

They say the 82-year-old driver and sole occupant of the eastbound SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

OPP say the two passengers in the westbound SUV – a 63-year old and a 68-year-old – were also pronounced dead on scene.

They say the 64-year-old driver and a 70-year-old passenger in the westbound vehicle were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident to contact the Toronto OPP detachment.
