What: WHISTLER/BLACKCOMB OPEN The ski and snowboard season is here! The mountains are open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Check www.whistlerblackcomb.com for daily updates.

What: FOODSAFE LEVEL 1 A mandatory eight-hour course for ayoen who want sto handle food and make money doing it. That includes cooks, servers adn dishwashers. Focus will be on food contamination and hazardous foods. When: Friday January 16, 9 a.m.

What: PEMBERTON SECONDARY SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE Pemberton Secondary hosts an open house that will showcase student artwork and art workshops. There’ll be a fashion show, First Nation presentations, sports and athletics too.
