What: FOODSAFE LEVEL 1 A mandatory eight-hour course for ayoen who want sto handle food and make money doing it. That includes cooks, servers adn dishwashers. Focus will be on food contamination and hazardous foods. When: Friday January 16, 9 a.m.

What: WHISTLER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE A free family fun zone at the Telus Conference Centre. There’s mini-golf, bouncy castles, kids’ movie screenings and video games for the whole family. When: Friday December 19 to Sunday January 4, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
