What: BLACKCOMB Blackcomb Mountain is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. King of the Rail takes place on Saturday February 12 at 6 p.m.at Night Moves. What: WHISTLER Whistler Mountain is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meetings

What: aware AGM Geological Engineer Ian Bruce from the Melting Mountains campaign is the guest speaker at AWARE’S Annual General Meeting. He will talk about the effects of climate change on B.C.’s mountains. All welcome.

What: LUNA – Melting Point Chill out at the LUNA pool party. This Late and Unique Nighttime Alterantives event is a pool party not to be missed with DJ tunes, relaxing times in the sauna and hot tub and yummy frozen treats.

KVRS full speed ahead

Despite the freezing rain and limited visibility, the Kokanee Valley Race Series went off as planned last Thursday, Jan. 27, with more than 40 participants – half as many as the previous event, but not a bad turnout with all things considered.
