OUR LADY OF THE MOUNTAINS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH Mass at Our Lady of the Mountains is on Sat. at 5 p.m. and Sun at 9 a.m. Weekdays – Tues. at 8 a.m. and Wed. at 7 p.m. The church is located at 6299 Lorimer Rd.

THE ALTA LAKE SCHOOL A non-profit independent school which follows a Waldorf curriculum from Pre-school to Grade 5.

COATS FOR KIDS Winter coats for children of all ages can be dropped off at Dual Mountain Drycleaners, both locations, at Market Pavilion and Function Junction. Coats are accessed by anyone in need through the Re-use It Centre.

Special Events

What: FREE AVALANCHE AWARENESS TOURS Kick off the 2004-’05 season with some avalanche awareness. Tours begin this week by Blackcomb Patrol vollies and cover the basic skills needed to go into the backcountry. The tours meet at 8:45 a.m. every day.

Rail jam kicks off Sprite Series

A strong field of 63 competitors turned out for the inaugural Sprite Park Rider Series rail jam on Sunday.
