OUR LADY OF THE MOUNTAINS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH>> Mass at Our Lady of the Mountains is on Sat. at 5 p.m. and Sun at 9 a.m. Weekdays – Tues. at 8 a.m. and Wed. at 7 p.m. The church is located at 6299 Lorimer Rd.

BABY/CHILD HEALTH CLINICS>> Free routine Immunizations and newly licensed vaccines for purchase, growth and development assessments and plenty of age appropriate resources available.

Education

THE ALTA LAKE SCHOOL>> A non-profit independent school which follows a Waldorf curriculum from Pre-school to Grade 5.

Services

COATS FOR KIDS>> Winter coats for children of all ages can be dropped off at Dual Mountain Drycleaners, both locations, at Market Pavilion and Function Junction. Coats are accessed by anyone in need through the Re-use It Centre.

ALPINE CLUB OF CANADA, WHISTLER SECTION>> The next monthly meeting will take place on Thurs. Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in MY Place. Outdoor club focused on mountaineering, ski touring, climbing and hiking. Trip schedule at www.alpineclubofcanada.

On The Mountains

BLACKCOMB>> Blackcomb Mountain will open early for the 2004-’05 winter season on Sat. Nov. 20, weather permitting. The mountain will officially open on Thurs. Nov. 25.

Meetings

COUNCIL>> The next regular council meeting will take place on Mon. Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at muni hall.

Special Events

HELLISH HALLOWEEN BASH>> For high school students only, the Hellish Halloween Bash takes place from 9 p.m. to midnight on Fri. Oct. 29 at the Spruce Grove Field House. Costumes are mandatory. Mocktails and a snack bar. Tickets are $12.
