On The Mountains

BLACKCOMB>> Blackcomb Mountain will open early for the 2004-’05 winter season on Sat. Nov. 20, weather permitting. The mountain will officially open on Thurs. Nov. 25.

Meetings

COUNCIL>> The next regular council meeting will take place on Mon. Oct. 18 in council chambers at municipal hall. Public question period kicks off the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

FUNGUS AMONG US FESTIVAL>> The Whistler Naturalists are holding a mushroom weekend with a variety of events scheduled at the Myrtle Philip Community Centre on Lorimer Road from Oct. 15 to 16.
