OUR LADY OF THE MOUNTAINS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH>> Mass at Our Lady of the Mountains is on Sat. at 5 p.m. and Sun at 9 a.m. Weekdays – Tues. at 8 a.m. and Wed. at 7 p.m. The church is located at 6299 Lorimer Rd.

COATS FOR KIDS>> Winter coats for children of all ages can be dropped off at Dual Mountain Drycleaners, both locations, at Market Pavilion and Function Junction. Coats are accessed by anyone in need through the Re-use It Centre.

On The Mountains

BLACKCOMB>> Blackcomb Mountain will open early for the 2004-’04 winter season on Sat. Nov. 20, weather permitting. The mountain will officially open on Thurs. Nov. 25.

DIALOGUE CAFÉ>> UBC Economist Dr. John Helliwell will speak at the next Dialogue Café on Thurs. Oct. 14 at the Whistler Chamber boardroom from 12 to 2 p.m.

USED BOOK SALE>> Stock up on winter reading on Sat. Oct. 9 in front of IGA from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Books, magazines, videos, all sold by donation. All proceeds go to the school libraries at Spring Creek and Whistler Secondary.
