BC by the numbers

The number of visitors entering Canada via B.C. border crossings was up in June (+1.5 per cent, seasonally adjusted) for a fifth consecutive month. Similar to the growth among overseas visitors (+1.5 per cent), entries from the U.S. were up 1.

THE ALTA LAKE SCHOOL>> A non-profit independent school which follows a Waldorf curriculum from Pre-school to Grade 5.

COATS FOR KIDS>> Winter coats for children of all ages can be dropped off at Dual Mountain Drycleaners, both locations, at Market Pavilion and Function Junction. Coats are accessed by anyone in need through the Re-use It Centre.

BLACKCOMB>> Blackcomb is closed until the 2004/05 season. WHISTLER>> The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sightseeing tours are also available.
