Kyle Balzer

Kyle Balzer graduated with distinction from BCIT's Broadcast and Online Journalism program in 2016.

He has covered a variety of stories from education and Indigenous relations, to community interests and sports.

Kyle is a three-time award-winning journalist, including recognition from the BC Association of Broadcasters for his part in covering the 2017 BC wildfire season.

He's worked for media outlets in Abbotsford, Surrey and Prince George before joining the Tri-City News, and has visited six different countries in his lifetime, including Colombia and Ukraine.

He loves meeting new people, listening to unique stories, and diving into new experiences.

His wife, Jess, works for our sister publication at Burnaby NOW.
