ALLEN — Canada will face Sweden for the men's under-18 world hockey championship. Jack Ivankovic stopped all 24 shots he faced as Canada blanked Slovakia 4-0 on Friday in the semifinal of the international tournament.

RIMOUSKI — Mael Lavigne scored 17:59 into overtime as the Rimouski Oceanic beat the Shawinigan Cataractes 3-2 in Game 5 of their Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League semifinal series. Rimouski leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.

PORTLAND — Andrew Cristall had two goals and one assist in leading the Spokane Chiefs to a 6-4 win and 4-0 sweep of the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Hockey League Western Conference championship series on Thursday.

OSHAWA — Luca Marrelli had a goal and four assists, Owen Griffin added two goals and one assist and the Oshawa Generals topped the Barrie Colts 8-4 on Thursday to complete the sweep and advance to the Ontario Hockey League championship series.

LETHBRIDGE — Mathew Ward scored twice, Gavin McKenna extended his point streak to 53 games and the Medicine Hat Tigers topped the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 on Wednesday to complete the sweep and advance to the Western Hockey League championship.

SHAWINIGAN — Isaac Ménard scored two minutes into double overtime and the Shawinigan Cataractes earned a 3-2 win over the Rimouski Océanic on Wednesday to even their best-of-seven series at 2-2 in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League semifinals.

KITCHENER — Sam Dickinson had a goal and an assist as the London Knights defeated the Kitchener Rangers 4-2 to complete the sweep on Wednesday in the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Championship.

ALLEN — Cole Reschny scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in leading Canada to a 3-2 overtime win over Czechia on Wednesday in the quarterfinal of the under-18 men's world hockey championship. Reschny scored 2:41 into overtime for the winner.

LETHBRIDGE — Captain Oasiz Wiesblatt scored at 2:41 of overtime and the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-6 on Tuesday to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Hockey League Eastern Conference Championshi

OSHAWA — Luke Torrance scored at 8:44 of the second overtime period and lifted the Oshawa Generals to a 7-6 victory over the visiting Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League playoff action on Tuesday night at Tribute Communities Centre.
