Whistler author Rebecca Wood Barrett is celebrating the debut of her book, My Best Friend is Extinct, with a “backyard book bash” at Florence Peterson Park at the Whistler Public Library on Saturday, July 2 from 2 to 3 p.m.
The event will include a short reading of the middle-grade book, origami bookmark making, and cookies and lemonade by Purebread.
The book will also be for sale by Armchair Books. Bring your copy or buy one on site to have it signed by Wood Barrett.
