Also, many local cafes, restaurants, bars and retail outlets offer up their walls as display spaces for visual artists. Keep your eyes open because you never know where you might spy that essential piece.

The local farmers markets are also an important part of the summer art scene with a wide variety of photographers, clothing designers, artists and jewelry artisans displaying. Check out the Whistler Farmer’s Market every Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Upper Village. The Franz’s Trail Market in Creekside has wrapped up for the season.
